How to add membership plans

You can add membership plans in Memberships > Plans. Start by entering the plan name, description, and Order, which determines the plan’s position among other plans.

Next, in the general plan Settings, you can link the plan to a WooCommerce Product if it is paid and set its Expiration Period. In General Restrictions, you can also select regular pages from WordPress > Pages to restrict access so that only users with the current plan’s membership can view them.

Note that if the plan is linked to a WooCommerce Subscription product, the Expiration Period is ignored, and the membership duration depends on the subscription status.

Finally, for each content type selected in HivePress > Settings > Memberships > Restrictions, you can configure specific restriction settings. A restriction applies globally if at least one plan has it set for that content type. For example, if you create a plan with a non-empty Submission Limit in Listing Restrictions, users without a membership will not be able to submit new listings.

Note that membership restrictions do not apply to administrators, so to test them, you need to log out or use a regular user account.
